We thought it would be fun to have Don Grosh build an NOS VT in the style of Clarence White's famous B-Bender equipped Tele.

Why We Love This

While we toyed with the idea of actually installing a B-Bender a la Clarence's Tele, we opted instead for simply capturing the vibe - Strat pickup in the neck position, tortoise guard, 2-tone sunburst, and a birdseye maple board which captures some of the played-in look of Clarence's old Tele. B-Benders are really fun, but probably best left to the masters (read: not us!).

If you're new to Grosh guitars, you can expect a flawlessly made, lightweight, extremely resonant, and ultra-deluxe playing instrument - in addition to also being gorgeous looking. These guitars brilliantly straddle the line between vintage feel and modern leaning features and build quality.

The satin-finished maple neck on this build sports a beautiful birdseye maple fingerboard, 50's Carve (Soft V to C - .85"-.95"), 10" radius, and 6150 (Medium) frets. It is certainly a highlight of this guitar - so comfortable and fast, it's hard to believe you're playing a Tele! The fretwork is outstanding and Don's own pickups, coupled with a swamp ash body - a Fat 60s in the neck, GT in the bridge - deliver gorgeous twang coupled with a softened top-end (ie, no earsplitting treble here) and really musical compression.

Another outstanding guitar from the master Don Grosh that will please any Clarence fan, or, the player who loves Tele's but wish they were a bit more refined.
