Description

We're excited to have our second Ken McKay semi-hollow body guitar in the shop! This time around, it's Ken's gorgeous Sunrise 19 model.

The Sunrise 19 is a handmade, 335-style guitar that uses Ken's own 4-ply maple laminate with a high-grade spruce center block, an old growth mahogany neck w/rosewood fretboard, and Duncan Antiquity pickups. As the name implies, there are 19 frets clear of the body on a fat, late 50s style neck (think LP Junior). The setup is excellent w/medium action and there is zero fret wear or wear on the body.

Plugged in, this guitar sounds fantastic! Fat, clear, articulate, old-school 335 tones abound. In our opinion, this is the magic of Ken's guitars. They really feel and sound like old Gibson guitars in a way that few new guitars on the market do.

If you've been on the hunt for a new semi-hollow guitar with a foot squarely in the old tradition, this is your guitar. These are incredibly rare so don't wait! Priced with original hardshell case.

On consignment, no trades please.
