Martin 00-18H Sunburst (USED, 1937)

Out of Stock

We're happy to have this lovely 1937 Martin 00-18H in inventory! It started life as a Hawaiian-style guitar (hence the "H" in the model designation), and was converted by TJ Thompson some years ago (before the current owner took possession). As you'd imagine, the neck set, fret work (bar frets) and new saddle are are best-of-the-best caliber; and the guitar is good to go for years to come. Someone had a trapeze tailpiece on it at one point, resulting in some marring of the finish around the endpin area. And two top cracks were also repaired long ago (again, before the current owner's stewardship). Tonally, this is a beautiful-sounding old Martin, with en exceptionally lively, round and bright sounding treble register. It's beautifully balanced all across the fretboard; and whether you fingerpick, flatpick, or do some of each, you'll find nothing not to love here. Have a listen as our friend, Mark Erelli, shows what it can do over at the Video tab. Priced with contemporary hard case.
