This 1958 Martin 00-18 comes to us from the original owner -- a colorful local character who spent much of his youth organizing country music concerts and gigging around as a wannabe-Hank Williams. He kept the guitar in very fine shape over the years -- adding a Barcus Berry pickup to it at one point when plugging in became a necessity. The original bridge had been shaved down dramatically when we obtained the guitar; and we enlisted Matthew Arcara to make a replacement and reset the neck. The bridge plate was replaced long ago (likely when the pickup was installed) with a rosewood one, though it doesn't seem to have hampered the sound at all. Overall ~ a clean & solid old 00-18, and a great value for anyone looking for a toneful old Martin guitar at a good price. With contemporary hard case.
