Beautiful sounding octave mandolin from luthier Lawrence Smart -- one of only a small handful he's ever produced! This is a flattop instrument, not unlike a tenor guitar in size and playability (the string courses give it a sound somewhere between a tenor guitar and a mandolin). Back and sides of Indian Rosewood, top of Engelmann Spruce, bone nut & saddle. 21 1/4" scale, 1 7/16" nut width. Have a listen to Matt Witler playing it over at the 'Video' tab! With contemporary hard case. This instrument is on consignment -- no trades, please.
