Description

Quite simply, this early 1930's Gibson L-1 is one of the best sounding small-bodied guitars we've ever had in the shop. It's got the full-yet-honky, warm, midrangey growl that screams "Gibson" right away; but it's delicate enough to project some real shimmer when played lightly, either with a pick or bare fingers. You want to talk vibe? This guitar is just oozing character, and it sports the best-looking sunburst you're likely to come across. Ever. This is the kind of vintage guitar coveted by everyone on the hunt -- great-sounding, great-looking, with just the right amount of play wear to let you know it hasn't been gathering dust in an attic somewhere. All-original, and strong as ever, with no top distortion under tension of standard light gauge strings. Mahogany back & sides, Spruce top, Rosewood bridge & fingerboard, bound top & back, 1 11/16" nut width, 24.9" SL. With new Hiscox case. Just a terrific, terrific guitar. On c consignment -- no trades, please.
