We're thrilled to have this 2015 Easy EG Pro back in the shop. We originally sold this guitar a few years ago and are immediately reminded of how amazing Matt Eady's guitars are. Matt worked for both the Gibson Custom Shop and archtop legend Bob Benedetto and it shows in every aspect of this guitar - vintage feel crossed with world-class craftsmanship...

With it's sleek shape and elegant overall vibe, the EG Pro appears to be coming from a modern place a la PRS, Suhr, or Tom Anderson. While the build quality and playability easily hangs with those highly regarded brands, the EG Pro responds, feels, and sounds a heck of a lot more like an old Les Paul than those brands do (almost a Les Paul crossed with a Strat). It's a very cool blend of modern and vintage to be sure, and you can see both the Gibson and Benedetto influence at play (the lack of fretboard markers along with ebony tuner buttons and gold hardware conjure images of classic archtops...).

The neck is chunky with a slight taper - again, think 59 LP crossed with a Strat - and the fretwork yields a very luxurious playing experience. The body shape is incredibly comfortable when playing in a seated position (and balances perfectly with a strap) and allows for easy upper fret access. The MannMade hardtail bridge feels ultra-smooth when resting your right hand on the bridge (PRS fans will note that John Mann designed the PRS bridge/tremolo - a highlight of PRS guitars to be sure) and the ebony tuner buttons add a touch of understated classic to the gold tuners.

This EG Pro is incredibly resonant and has great sustain. The dual Arcane humbuckers coupled with a 5-way switch yield a stunning variety of vintage-inspired tones. LP heft, Strat-like clarity and chime...this guitar easily covers all the classics.

Condition: Very Good to Excellent. There are three small indentations (one by the jack, one on the back, and one near the knobs), and two finish imperfections on the back of the neck (which we didn't feel or notice while playing). The frets are like-new and the top shows light finish swirling.

As you can tell, we're really loving this guitar. Highly recommend to anyone who is into PRS, Suhr, but also desires a guitar that feels a bit more vintage-inspired. A killer guitar, period. Priced with G&G hard case.
