The Goodtime banjo has a slender, low profile neck that is easy to finger and comfortable for large and small hands. The fret work is accurate and precise to ensure accurate intonation over the entire fingerboard. The single coordinator rod in the pot easily and effectively adjusts the playability so that the strings are close to the fingerboard and are easy to press down. All five tuners are geared and easy to tune. The tailpiece is extremely strong and easily adjustable to maximize tone by raising or lowering it.

The Goodtime banjo weighs about 4 pounds so it is light enough for children to hold and play and is ideal for traveling, camping, hiking, taking to the beach and provides a vibrant singing banjo tone in any situation.

The exclusive new 3-ply, all maple rim for our Goodtime banjos has profoundly elevated the tonal character of this already affordable banjo. At this time, there are NO OTHER banjos made anywhere, in this price range constructed with rims that are even remotely similar in construction. The exclusive new 3-ply maple rim has created a tone in the Goodtime banjos that equals and exceeds tone from competitive banjos that cost $2,000.00 or more. While violin makers have been using this type of maple for several hundred years, Deering is the only modern banjo maker using this superb and perfectly balanced tone wood in its banjo rims.
