Description

This gorgeous mandola is one of a couple instruments sent to us from Johann Brentrup for consignment. Inspired by the mandolins signed by Lloyd Loar, the "Classic" series encapsulates all the tone and vibe the famed pre war instruments are known for. This one is powerful, woody, and deep with plenty of low end. The scale length is a slightly shorter 15 9/16" and the nut width is 1 1/8" which makes it feel very mandolin-like. This instrument has seen very little play time and is in over all excellent condition aside from a few marks here and there. Hans signature finish is a Spirit varnish over oil violin varnish and the top coats always check over time. This is an amazing instrument with an incredibly short supply, not to be missed. Priced with hardshell case.
