Bagnasco & Casati OM-18 Shade Top

Italian guitarmakers Andrea Bagnasco & Alesio Casati have garnered quite a following amongst the vintage replica cognoscenti in recent years: their instruments are painstaking replicas of the great Martins and Gibsons from the golden age of lutherie, with a sound that blends the best dry, woody elements of those old guitars with the kind of articulation modern players demand. This OM-18 is their version of a c.1933 Martin OM (the exceptions being Italian Spruce top in place of Adirondack, and the maple V-bar in the neck instead of ebony). Honduran Mahogany back & sides, ebony bridge and fingerboard, hide glue construction, pure nitrocellulose finish and celluloid pickguard. This is a resonant, lively and responsive guitar that sounds great whether flatpicked or fingerpicked. An unbeatable guitar if you're in the market for a hand-built, vintage-style OM. Priced with hard case.
