This is a very rare Vega Mandola from circa 1920 in very fine condition. Due to its 17.5" scale, one might assume it's an octave mandolin, but in looking through some original Vega catalogues from the period, they clearly describe this as a Mandola and in some examples a "lute-mandolin." It's a marvelous sounding instrument, all original (including the tailpiece!) and plays beautifully. Priced with original hard case. On consignment.
