One of today's top builders, South Africa-based Marc Mainguard is on the forefront of modern luthiery and this grand concert is a clear testament to his skills. This is a guitar that I find difficult to put down. The dual bevel is a wood-working and engineering marvel (with a strong tip of the hat to Grit Laskin and Kevin Ryan) and provides superb comfort. The guitar truly becomes one with your body. And the tone is exquisite. I find it particularly satisfying in the lower registers--resounding bass with great sustain and very colorful overtones.
