A rare opportunity to own one of the magical 12 Collings Commemorative models made to celebrate The Music Emporium's 40th year in business. When TME founder, Stu Cohen, originally dreamed up these gorgeous Collings, we thought he'd gone a little loopy. Snakewood!? On a Collings? Are you crazy? But now that we've seen and heard a dozen of these guitars, we are all firm believers in the visual and tonal brilliance of this very rare tonewood. Of course, it helps to have great Adirondack tops, Brazilian bodies, varnish finish and the inimitable Collings mojo in each of these guitars. Personally, I think it's the sunburst that does really makes them sing, but who am I to say? This, by the way, is the only Sunburst dread in the series and it is now here for sale. The previous owner made the tortured decision to throw this one back into the pond. One man's loss is another's gain. We're just thrilled to be able to have one of these beauties back in the store. It's in near mint condition with only very small finish blem near the pickguard. Kind of comforting to know that the guitar is not quite perfect:)
