Ed Claxton began building instruments over 30 years ago while a music student at the University of Austin. With everything from ouds to harp guitars under his belt, Ed can claim a vast level of expertise, although since 1994, his true passion has been acoustic guitars. He currently resides in Santa Cruz and builds a very limited number of acoustics each year. We are privileged to be his sole US dealer.
This most recent EM-C is just an outstanding example of Ed's work. Full bodied, robust, with elegant curves and a stunningly beautiful mosaic rosette, this Brazilian powerhouse also features Ed's new varnish finish on the top which adds another level of responsiveness and tonal complexity. Here is a luthier clearly at the pinnacle of his craft. There are very few guitars in the the shop that come close to this EM-C.
