With a wealth of luthiery and guitar-retail experience between them, these guys have brought forth a line of guitars that are sure to turn lots of heads. This J-model is along the lines of a contemporary small jumbo, with strong elements of Jeff Traugott's work visible in the contours as well as some of the bracing design. In particular, the back bracing has a unique horizontal tone bar that neatly transverses the lateral bracing, and adds presence and clarity to the bass without minimizing its gut-thumping power. Overall the guitar responds beautifully, open and alive with plenty of sustain and abundant, but controlled overtones.
