Well, they're finally starting to come in, the long-awaited 40th Anniversary commemorative models! It's been over a year since we planned these beauties and at times, it looked like we'd never see them before the end of this, our 40th year. But through the great efforts of the boys at Collings and our inlay artist, Doug Unger, the guitars are coming through as scheduled. And what can we say? They are just stunning. You'll find pictured here the first two to be completed: a natural dreadnought and a sunburst 000. It's a toss-up as to which is the finer. But I have to say, the sunburst definitely gets my vote. I'm a sucker for a Collings 'burst and the combination of tonewoods with the subtle rust-red top is simply to die for.
